I am looking for any information on my grandfather WILLIAM BENJAMIN HUGHES (OR BENJAMIN WILLIAM). He was born in Wales and got married to his first wife, and suppossedly had 2 daughters. He then left Wales and moved to Canada and married my grandmother (Elizabeth Bender) and had one son with her (Gary Evan) and adopted my father (Glen Lester). It has been said that when he went to work for the army, he ordered a new birth certificate and realized that his last name was actually HOLLOWAY-HUGHES, but he then officially dropped the HOLLOWAY. He died of cancer in May 1973 in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
