PROTHEROE/OWENS I am trying to track down my greatgrandparents. They came to America in the 1880's. David OWENS was born Jan 27, 1845. Mary PROTHEROE was born May 18, 1854. She is the daughter of John and Emily JONES PROTHEROE. This information is from a written record that Emily wrote. I know little else about them. I still have relatives in Wales. From a death announcement the following family names were noted as being there. If you know any of these people, related to or can help me thanks. The people in the announcement are: Deceased person Mrs. E. Lewis of Godreaman formorally of Cwmbach. Bereaved family of Cwmbach and Aberaman. Buriel in Aberdare Cemetery. Mouners Messrs Edward Lewis, son; B. Bryant and Tom Walters sons-in-law; Fred, Neville and David - grandsons; Thomas Lewis, W. Walters, D. Protheroe, G. Protheroe, D.I Ellias, R. Jenkins, D. Lloyd, G. Vincant, nephews; Mary, Amelia, Louie and Muriel, daughters, Mary Ann, daughter-in-law; S.E. Vincent, M. Protheroe, L. Protheroe nieces. Bearers a Leach, Perkins, John, Davies.
