DUNPHY: I am searching for any information on my
Dunphy ancestors who orginally came from County Cork
and immigrated to the US and settled in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Richard Dunphy and wife Catherine came over with James,
their 18 year old son. 1890 census shows both of them
still in Cincinnati. James was a horseshoer and was married
to Ellen Bradley and Richard was a marble cutter. I don't
know the year that they came over and if any other family
members came with them. It seems pretty unlikely that an
Irish family would only have one child during that era.
I would appreciate any information anyone has on them
and would be willing to share any information on Richard
and James in America.
