I am searching for info regarding my uncle who was presumed lost at sea during WW2. My uncles' name was FREDERICK (FREDDIE) CHAMBERS (born 3/4/1916) and he served in the Merchant Navy. FREDDIE had 3 brothers and 7 sisters, 2 sisters died in infancy and 1 brother Samuel (born 19/5/1911) is unaccounted for. The 2 brothers I know about were both in the Royal Navy during WW2 and both survived the war, they were named Robert Chambers(born 3/10/1918) and William (Bill) James Chambers(born 28/7/1921). They were all born in Belfast to Samuel Alexander Chambers and Maria Chambers(nee Gillespie)who were married in St Annes church in Belfast(30/12/1910).
WILL ANYONE WHO KNEW FREDERICK (FREDDIE)CHAMBERS AND KNOWS HIS FATE, SERVED WITH HIM IN THE MERCHANT NAVY, KNEW HIM IN BELFAST OR WENT TO SCHOOL WITH HIM PLEASE E-MAIL ME WITH ANY INFO WHOEVER TRIVIAL IT MIGHT SEEM. THANKS IN ANTICIPATION Graham Overton
