Looking for all Ellis connections in Ireland (both North and South). Ellis family have been in Ireland since Cromwell and many were in military service (particularly with Sir John Clotworthy and Sir Henry Dockwra regiments). Family names include Arthur,Anthony, Dixie, Edmund, Edward, Foulk, Francis, Gore, Henry, Hercules, Philip, Nicholas. Many received grants of land when their commissions were finished.
