SHEAHAN/SHEEHAN I am searching for the siblings of my great grandfather John Sheahan who was deported in 1842 to Van Dieman's Land (Tasmania). His prison records show his father was also John and mother only shown as Margaret? His siblings were Denis, Michael, Margaret, Catherine and Bridget. Once John received his ticket of freedom he moved to the Mainland with his wife and reared 9 children, but I have no knowledge of what became of his siblings and would love to find their descendants if possible. John was born in 1826 in Kildimo, Limerick. Any information would be greatly appreciated. The spelling of the surname has been changed over the years and the common spelling is now SHEEHAN. Many Thanks, Marie Sheehan - Australia.
