Interested in contacting anyone doing research on the family name of Lilly or Lilley from Northern Ireland - most likely Co. Antrim. My ggrandfather, Hugh Lilley, came to America in 1870, settled in Phila., Pa. and in July 1872 he married Isabella Fulton there. She was also from Northern Ireland, most likely Co. Derry and came to Phila. in 1869. Hugh was a weaver, eventually a carpet weaver. He was born 1850 and died in 1935. His death cert gives his father's name as Hugh with no mother's name. He and Isabella had Samuel, Mary, Robert George, Emma and Isabella. Would appreciate corresponding with anyone with the name of Lilley in their lineage. Lilley is not a common name - of Scots-Irish origin - and of the few Lilleys there were in NI, most were in Ballymoney Parish and were related. I have researched at the PRONI and a good bit of information on the Co. Antrim Lilleys BUT not able to tie my Hugh to them so far.
