Looking for HUGHES info; related surnames:

ARMSTRONG,POLLOCK, BENNETT, CREED. Hughes of the Grove, Stillorgan, County of Dublin and Hughes of Elm Park, county of Mayo, Ireland. John Hughes and Mary Blakeney of Cavan County, Ireland were married in 1737. They resided at Elm Park,county of Mayo, Ireland. They had at least four sons: John, Douglas, Alexander, and James who married Letitia IRELAND in 1774. They also had at least two daughters: Eleanor and Rebecca. Letitia IRELAND's father the Reverand William IRELAND, rector in county of Mayo and warden of Galway. Her gr-grgrandparents William IRELAND and Hon. Margaret DeCOURCY.
James and Letitia (Ireland) Hughes had at least three sons:
John Hughes who married Eleanor COLLINS in 1806, William who maried Margaret CARR,and James who married Jane BROCAS
James and Letitia also had at least two daughters: Mary Hughes who married Stephen HUGHES and Magdelene who married Mr. TURNBRIDGE.
John HUGHES married 1806 in Ireland, Eleanor COLLINS (eldest daughter of James COLLINS who was the son of Rev. Emanuel COLLINS, who was the son of Major Samuel COLLINS, of Chew Magna, Somerset, an officer in the army of William III.
John and Eleanor (Collins) Hughes had the following chiuldren:
Henrietta, Eleanor Jane, Constance Grace, Mary, Anna Marie, Eleanor Martha Jane, and two sons: James Freeman HUGHES and John Emanuel HUGHES. Both sons attended Trinity College.
They were Hughes of the Grove in Stillorgan, county of Dublin. John came to America and married Mary Jane EVANS in 1852. James Freeman HUGHES stayed in Ireland and inherited the estate. He married Martha REDFERN in 1842 and had six girls and two boys: Constance Grace HUGHES married James WILSON of Monkstown, Dublin, Ireland; Eleanor Anne Catharine HUGHES b. 1845; Anna Maria DeCourcy HUGHES
married William Bigoe ARMSTRONG; John DeCourcy HUGHES b. 1850 d.1874; James DeCourcy Ireland HUGHES b. 1856 (did he marry?); Honoria HUGHES married James Ferrier POLLOCK, Esq. 1867; Martha Rosa HUGHES married George Lovett BENNETT, Esq. in 1872; Edith Redfern HUGHES married John Charles CREED in 1873. All the girls were married in the Church of Ireland, Stillorgan Parish, county of Dublin, Ireland.
