Seeking any information about the Dunklin/Dunclen/Dunclent surname. Joseph Dunklin, born ca 1734, born either Ireland or Worchestershire, England, supposedly left a place called Colirene, Ireland and went to London. He supposedly set sail for American and arrived in Charleston, South Caroline about 1754-1756. He met Jean Caroline Wathen, from Wales, on board the ship and they either married on board the ship or after landing in S. C. I don't know how long Joseph was in London before he left for the United States. Did other Dunklins stay in Ireland or England? I have a good bit of information on this family after their arrival in the states and on through to my husband's main line. I also found a Nathaniel Dunklin in Massachusetts, born ca 1666. Did other Dunklins come to the USA before Joseph did? All information will be greatly appreciated.
