NEELIS. I am searching for information regarding my gr.grandfather, John Neelis b:abt 1808 in Ireland, but do not know which County. His parents are: Joseph Neelis/Bridget Kenney. John married Rebecca Smith b:abt.1820. Parents: James Smith/Bridget Campbell. John and Rebecca possibly had the following children while still in Ireland - Ann, Mary, Sarah, Catherine, Margaret. All emigrated to Canada before 1853 as a daughter Elizabeth was born in Canada in 1853. Other children, also born in Canada were: Rosanna, Joseph, James, John. All were RC. I would welcome any information pertaining to this family, especially birthplaces. Thank you, Lopas@webtv.net
