I am trying to fin out about my great, great granfather. His name was Patrick Ryan and he married Bridget. In the 1881 UK Census he was aged 60 and living in Wigan, England with Bridget also aged 60 and three children: Peter age 20, Thomas age 18 and Patrick age 14 - who is my great grandfather. They were all born in Co.Mayo. I would like to find out exactly where they came from, what was Bridget's maiden name and who were their parents. Also did they have any older children not listed on the 1881 census.
I also want to find out about the family of my great grandmother. She was called Annie Rafferty and her parents were James and Margaret Rafferty who lived in Wigan in 1881 and were both aged 48. They were born in Sligo. I want to find out about their parents and exactly where they came from.
