MANNION
Seeking living relatives of John MANNION, son of Thomas MANNION and Mary DUFFY. John emigrated to Brisbane, Australia and died 7th January 1884, days after arrival here. He came with his 3rd wife, Bridget HOWARD/WARD and his last four children, Ellen, Malachy, and twins, Honor and Maria. These four children were born at the townland of BLEAN and baptised at ATHENRY Catholic Church. They were born from Dec. 1868 and July 1875.
John's 2nd wife was Margaret MOGAN who died in Ireland and did not emigrate - she died circa 1867 and was buried in the Mogan plot. Her two children, Michael and Margaret MANNION emigrated as young people to Australia. Margaret is my great grandmother.
John's 1st wife was Hannah KENNEDY or Catherine HINES/HYNES.
The 5 children to this marriage (I have no information on them) are said to have emigrated to USA as adults.
