I am researching the Ryan name in particular a convict transported to Australia in aboard the Havering. He is Thomas Ryan and his wife Alice Ryan( maiden Name Butler) and her 2 sons James and Patrick followed him out onboard the ship Cressy.They arrived in Australia 12-01-1856.They probably came from Kilkenny County in Kilmanagh.He was transported to Australia in 1849 prisoner no 49 887
