I am searching for William RYALL who married Margret before joining the British Army in Dec 1846 by which time he had the first of 5 sons,Denis b. Oct 1845. William died in Quebec in 1862 and his widow eventually settled in Leeds. His youngest son Charles Alfred (my great-grandfather) was a policeman in Leeds. I would like to trace where he came from in Ireland. I know that he sailed from Cork to join his regiment, 17th Leicestershire, and one of his sons was discharged to Tralee.
Any help would be appreciated.
