I am researching my maternal & paternal ancestors. My fathers name was James Farrell baptised in st Marys catholic church Athlone Co Westmeath Ireland. His fathers name was John & his mothers name was Bridgit. I have no idea where they lived & have been unable to trace where the resided. I do know my father was fostered out to a family called Dempsey who lived in the Derries kiltoom Co Roscommon. He married Mary Teresa Leonard (nee Morris)of Purts Kiltoom around 1929. Any info on either family would be of help to me.
