Hi there!
I am looking for two sets of grandparents on my father's side. The first would be my g3 James Purtell and Catherine McGrath. They had a son named John (possibly James born 1860 or 1863) who came to US around 1889 and was made a US citizen in 1893 (I have naturalization certificate). He married Kate Whalen who was or 1865. Her parents were Thomas Whalen (he was made a citizen in the late 1800s. Kate's mother's name was Nora (Carroll). Both sets of parents came from Ireland but I have no idea where. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
