I'm trying to find Elaine & Dennis Winship, friends who emigrated to South Africa in 1974. Elaine's maiden name was Lucas, and she worked with me at Teesside Polytechnic in 1973 where she was a bilingual secretary. We both married in March 1973, me on 3 March to Richard, and she on 17 March. She'll be 50 next month (May 2002), one of the reasons I'm trying to find her. We had a card from them at Christmas 1974 letting us know that she had a job as a German translator for BMW, and that Dennis had a job as a telecoms engineer. She'd put their address on the envelope but unfortunately, it was obscured by the postmark, and during a move we lost the envelope, but not the card! If anyone knows them or where they are now, please tell them to get in touch.
