WHILES, William, born c. 1850 Hull, England, seeking ANY
DATA. I am up against a brick wall. Only information I have is as follows: at age 12 yrs he worked for 4 months on
board schooner Saucy Lass, departing Hull, England and being
discharged (work - Very good) in Cardiff Wales in 1863. At some point ? when and from where? he emigrated to Canada where he married in Toronto, yr. 1882 at age 30 and a "widow" to Alice COLLINSON (born in England emigrated yr 1870) age 18 yrs. To them was born a daughter in March of 1883 and in Nov of 1883, William Whiles at age 33 yrs old
died from a work related accident (worked for a Bridge Co.-
in Toronto). On marriage record it is stated he was born
in Leicester, on record from Saucy Lass, it reads - born in
Hull England. I cannot find any trace of my William WHILES
( my paternal great grandfather). Hope to hear from anyone
searching this surname with some data. Would like to find out who his first wife was and if any children from that marriage and when he emigrated to Canada. Thanks in advance.
