I am looking to trace my great grandfather James (Morrell) Morrall who according to his marriage certificate was born in Huddersfield WRY or C in 1848 to a William and Emma Anne Morrall. James migrated to Australia, with or without his parents, sometime prior to 1883, when he married Sarah Eyles in Melbourne, Australia. He died in 1899.
Despite my best efforts I have not been able to establish when or how he came to Australia or any record of his parents back in England. Even the spelling of his name varies. There is even a suggestion that he may have been born in Bradford. I am advised that a James Boocock Morrell was born in 1848 in Bradford (Ref No XX111 105). Perhaps Boocock was the maiden name of his mother.
Anyway, I am desperate and if anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.
