I am researching my family name Shaw.Who were born or lived mostly in the Colne Valley near Huddersfield,WestYorkshire, England.Namely Slaithwaite,Linthwaite,Lingards and Golcar. But who have now spread their wings far and wide.
My late father was Gerald Shaw & my mother Mavis(nee Robinson)
My GF was Hubert Shaw & my GM Elsie(nee Westerby).
My GGF was Tom Shaw & my GGM Annie(nee Lee).
My GGGF was Henry Shaw & my GGGM Martha(nee Ashton).
I am also following leads as to my GGGGM Betty Shaw who it would appear was involved with a James Clay,before her marriage to John Crabtree.Her father my GGGGGF possibly James Shaw?but i have yet to find confirmation to some of these points.I would be very grateful if anyone could be of assistance.
