looking for decendants of william jonathan thomas b 1870 Sothampton and elizabeth ellen thoma b 1873 liverpool. parents were William thomas(mariner/steamship stoker)birthplace unknown and margaret carstairs b edinburgh. according to marriagecert dated 1859, stepney london, Wm thomas snr's father was Jonathan thomas. Margaret carstairs thomas is on 1881 census living in edinburgh and married to james hunter. her two children william jonathanand eliz ellen also mentioned on same census. William J thomas married agnes Hyde Lyon in edinburgh 1890. They had several children one being James alexander Lyon Thomas b edinburgh. 1899(my grandad) James married Lillias thomson (my gran)1932 edinburgh. James had been married before this and had a son James (don't know what hapened to him.
