Seeking info' on my "elusive" James MORRIS & FAMILY.-
Up against a SOLID BRICK WALL. Hope someone is searching or
linked to this line. This is my "cradle" name (paternal line) and my great, great grandfather.
James MORRIS & spouse, Elizabeth (unknown maiden name) - to them were born 3 children (that I know of) - Mary Ann born 1828,William born 1833, and John Samuel born 1836.
Baptims solemnized in the Parish of Saint Mary, Newington,Co. of Surrey) at Saint Peter's Church, Walworth
on March 1st, 1837. "abode/residence" was Clandon Street.
Father's occupation - Painter.
John Samuel MORRIS, 30 yrs of age - a bachelor, occupation-
Porter- residing at 12 Upper Doctor Street - married -
25 Nov. 1867 to Emily BENNETT- age 26 yrs, spinster - residing - 3 Guildford Street, father - James BENNETT - occupation-Print Colourer.
John Samuel Morris' father's -James - occupation - Wheelwright.They were married at the district Church of S. Paul - in the Parish of St. Mary Newington, in the Co. of Surrey. Witnesses: M.A.Gabb and Luoisa Maria Purkiss.
It is believe that Emily Bennett had a brother George who
emigrated to Australia (last heard from in 1910).
Appreciate hearing from anyone with information. Willing to
