looking for info re William thomas b 1870 Southampton and his sister Elizabeth ellen thomas b 1872? Liverpool to William Thomas + margaret carstairs Thomas married London 1859. 1881 census shows that their mother Margaret Carstairs Thomas remarried and living with James Hunter and his children at 170 Fountainbridge, Edinburgh. The father William Thomas died between 1872- 1880, he was a steamship stoker and whereabouts unknown. William Thomas b 1870 married Agnes Hyde Lyon 1890 and had several children. James Alexander Lyon Thomas b 1899 being one of them. He is my grandad. He was married before he married my gran Lillias Thomson in 1932. Does anyone out there know this branch of the Thomas family.
