I am seaching for information on the "Vater" family, who moved to Newfoundland, Canada in the early 1800's. I know that there were 4 Vaters who moved here. I am not sure if they are brothers or cousins. The names I have are George, James, Edmond or Edward and Robert. Maybe from Dorset or area. Anyone with information re: "Vater" who moved to Canada. Please email me .....Maybe u are one of my long lost relatives!!!!
