| I am researching my Dunham and Sterman (sturman) ancestors from Manea, Cambridgeshire.Robert Dunham was born in Manea in 1836. His father's name was Thomas and his mother's name was Mary (may have also been Sarah). He had at least a brother David and a sister Mary (may have been Margaret). He came to USA in 1854 with his sister Mary and her husband Robert Branford. David followed in 1856. They all settled in Walworth county in Wisconsin, USA (some of the towns are Troy, Troy Center, East Troy or La Grange). Robert Dunham married Mary Sterman (parents were William and Ruth) who are also from Cambridgeshire. They were married in East Troy, Wisconsin in 1857. They had 12 children, 11 survived infancy. Mary's parents and her brother Fredrick are residing in East Troy, Wisconsin in 1860. Any information would be appreciated. I am willing to share pictures and information that I have gathered. |
