Trying to search info on gt gt grandparents.Frederick augustus LYON(S) and mary ann McDonald married 1860, Edinburgh.
Had numerous children including Alison 1861 edin, Margaret 1865ish Aberdeen,-James 1870 nova scotia,- frederick 1874 Fort george, Inverness,-Georgina 1875ish england,-Agnes my gt granny 1872ish between Nova scotia and UK other children as well to his second wife.
Frederick was a Private in 78th Highlanders and moved about a bit before settling in Edinburgh.
1881 census India buildings, edin as a inspector for tram co.
1891 staying Tay street, edin working as a janitor at Merchiston boarding school
