Beryl Frankel (nee Curry)
Last saw Beryl in London in 1959. We had trained together at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary but Beryl left, part way through our training, to get married to Edward Frankel. We then met occasionally either in Edinburgh or London when we (my husband John and I) were on leave from Kenya, Nigeria and lastly Ghana. She also met, and stayed with in Scotland, our mutual friend Audrey Cameron (nee Henderson). When I last spoke to Beryl on the phone she had one daughter Anna and was pregnant with her second child. I believe at that time was living in Oxford. We have, in the last few years, had two nursing reunions and have spoken of her and attempted to find her but no luck. |
