My father gave me a copy of a letter from the Parish of St. Stephen, Millfield, Belfast with the following information:

William Dunbar (a labourer of County Antrim) was father of Willian Henry Dunbar. Henry Hill (a yarn bundler of County Fermanagh) was the father of Rebecca Hill and possibly Thomas H. Hill (he was best man at the wedding of William Henry & Rebecca).

William Henry (born in 'Malone Domain' on the Wallace Legg estate) & Rebecca were married in St. Stephen's Church on August 5, 1880. Rebecca was married in brown, meaning 'out of town'. They eventually rented a house, Beach (Beech?) Lodge, Castlereagh (Castlereigh?), outside of Belfast. (I have a picture of the family standing in front of a house, circa 1891, & was told it's name was Lishnaughshara, 2 miles outside of Belfast).

The couple had 3 sons: William Henry, Robert & Thomas (my grandfather). William Henry & Robert came to Canada together circa 1905. William Henry was ordained a minister in the Anglican Church (apparently a family tradition for all sons named William). Thomas, William Henry senior & Rebecca came to Canada in 1907. They all settled in Southern Ontario, Canada.

My brother & I have contact with most of the Canadian descendants, however we know nothing about our ancestry beyond what is written here. Were there any Hill or Dunbar cousins, aunts, uncles whose descendants are still in Ireland or elsewhere in the world? I'd love to hear from anyone who knows anything and/or to whom I might be related. My brother is still in Southern Ontario, I'm in Victoria, B.C., Canada.
