I am tryng to trace anyone who knew my father's family. Or perhaps any relative who may still be living. The information I have is as follows

> His father William Jones - farmer.
> His mother Anne Jones (nee Williams).
>
> My father lost his father and three brothers during WW2.

> imagine as he was then 71 years old.

> Cemetary in Chingford (c:r 3781)
>

>
> David Gwilym Jones DOB ? If youngest may still be alive.
>
> Elizabeth Gwynneth Jones DOB 4/10/1913.... may still be alive.
> Married 12/8/1936 to John Ernest Martin.
> One daughter Cynthia Vivienne DOB 29/5/1938 may still be alive. I believe this branch of the family migrated to New Zealand at some time probably during the 60's
>
> The family must have left Wales in the mid 30's as by 1938 most of the
> family appeared to be living at 3 Old Kent Road, Southwark SE1
> In 1947 they were living at 107 Marmion Avenue, Chingford and by 1953 13
> New Road, Chingford E4.

My father owned an Estate Agent & Surveyors business at Chingford Mount up to the time we left the UK originally in 1964.

> My childhood memories which may not be too accurate now, are that my
father
> said he was a paratrooper. I
> remember him having bad trench foot from the war and vaguely think I
> remember him saying he was at Dunkirk but not certain of that, but his
> brother being on a war monument in France maybe lends some credence to
that
> idea. I also have very faint recollections of some one saying he served in
> Egypt or somewhere like that. He never spoke much about the war so I have no other
> clues
If any one knows of any possible
> way I could try to trace my living relatives before it is too late and
they
> die, that would be much appreciated.

> Many Thanks
