Hello Listers,
This is a very big shot in the dark.
I have probobly the most common name in Wales.
I decend from Lewis Williams who arrived in Co Donegal Ireland sometime around 1830, possibly with a William Williams
He was my g.g.grandfather.
I have no idea at all where in Wales he came from although family tradition (you know about family tradition!) says he was a sailor.
If anyone out there has a Williams who disappeared to Ireland in the early 1800's I would love to hear from them.
Thanks and good hunting to all
Robert Williams
