I'm trying to trace my finace's birth mother. The information we have is very scant.
Her name was ENA... we believe she was from Cork City. She was 23 years old when she gave birth to a baby boy on the 18th May 1973 at St. Finbarrs Hospital, Cork. She called him Christopher Martin. He was born with a 'left sided weakness' and attened the Lavanagh Centre in Blackrock for physiotherapy. His adoption order was not signed until 1975. We also believe that Ena may have had some form of contact with him until he was approx. 1 year old. He was renamed Gregory by his adoptive parents, the Coughlans. His birth father's name was Mick. He was a married man and worked as a 'carousel' which probably means he worked in a fairground. He was aware of Ena's pregnancy.
Greg just wants to meet Ena and find out about where he came from, who he looks like, the reasons why she gave him up for adoption etc. There are absolutely NO HARD FEELINGS on his part, he is just desperate to put a face to the person that gave him life 29 years ago.
