Hi,
I'm looking for the parents of James Akerill. He was born somewhere in England in 1817. I know that there is many ways to spell this surname but when he came to America this is the way he spelled it. He must have been the only akerill to come here. Everytime I put the Akerill surname in a search engine everyone that pops up I'm related to. My aunt has been working on this surname for forty years and she says she is no futher today then forty years ago. So I'm going to put messages on all the England genealogy sites to see what I can find.
