My Grandfather, John Evan Davies, Master Mariner, born Llanon, Cardiganshire 1877, spent some time in U.S.A. Apparently had a serious affair/marriage? with a lady called Margaret ??. He/They? lived on Long Island, N.Y. This is a long shot but any ideas? He had 3 sons (born in Wales, David Gwynne, Vernon and Merfyn) He died 1945.
