| My grandfather Edward Higgins was born in Co Cork Ireland about 1847 .He may have had a number of siblings but I know of only one John Joseph who was ordained a priest in Plymouth England about 1873. He was ordained as father GILBERT Higgins. My Grandfather Edward married Mary Carroll born in Dublin about 1847 they were married in Penzance Cornwall then emigrating to New Zealand aboard the Blairgowrie about 1875. There may have been another brother that emigrated to New Foundland Canada, I remember being told that some time. Can anyone help? |
