Hi
I was wondering if anyone could help us with my Gt.Gt. Gt.Grandfather John Reid who was a Tailor by trade. He married Margaret Bain in Lanark,Glasgow in Dec. 1810.
They then moved to Larbert, Sterlingshire, Scotland where all the following children were born: James b.1811, Alexander & John (twins) b. 1812,Thomas b.1815, Marion b.1817, William b. 1824, Robert b.1827, Margaret b.1829, Malcolm b/1832, Matthew b. 1835 (my Gt.Gt.Grandfather).
I am trying to get back the next generation, but have been unsuccessful, as John's parents are not listed on his Marriage Certificate. I have searched the Census's and found him living in 1851, but his wife Margaret appears as a widow in 1861. I thought maybe his parents are listed on his Death Certificate. Can anyone help me, please.
