I am looking for my mothers firt born son. His birth name is Eugene Carl Rice Stanton. He was born 2,9,1958. in sporwston, norwich hospital.
My mother worked in a mustard factory. Whe meet a amercian man and fell in love. He would be soon sent back to america because he got into some legal trouble. But not before my mother was pregnant. My mother was a single mother and living with her sister.( my grandparents) died when she was only 12. Shw was raised by her older sister Hanna, Hanna had a daughter about the same age as my mother. My mothers name was DORIS EVELYN STANTON, THe father of her child was named CARL RICE, hince the middle name of EUGENE. My mother came to america when Eugene was a toddler. He was aloowed into America on my mothers passport. My mother was very young and dependant on her husband another military man. She worked, always and at the time of her seperation fron Eugene she then had four boys altogether. EUGENE, CAROL,and ROBERT and ALLAN(Twins). Her married name was MAYRAND. Her husband at the time was C.J MAYRAND. Eugene was hurt while they were living at the fort carson air force base. Eugene suffered a broken collar bone and a mild concusion. He was placed in the hospital in Denver, Colorado. The accident is not very clear to my mother as she was not at the home when it happened but Eugene was with her husband. The airforce relocated them, immediatly. ANd in hign site she recalls it was all very suspicous. C.J was taking the boys (except Eugene)To relocate in Iowa. C.J. assured my mother that Eugene would be brought to her as soon as he could be released from the hospital. After the move the true stroy can't be told as noone contacted my mother, and her husband who she divorced claimed that the state of Colorado would not release him because they had placed him into and another home, and that he was better off, and with a wealthy family, being well provided for. ANd her husband assured her that he would try and do everything that he could do to get Eugene returned.
My mother still longs for her son. And she deeply regrets ever letting go of him. ANd ever letting others make her feel selfish for wanting him with her, and not a wealthy family that she had been told he was placed.
After all of this, I want also want to see my brother, My mother has had eight children. And still tears fill her eyes whe she thinks of him. My mother, our mother is much older now, and her health if failing fast, she has had a triple heart by-pass, just a while ago. And she stayed at our home to recover. We got to spend many hours talking about Eugene. Looking at pictures of him. And reflecting on our decsions that we had allowed to be amde for us as mothers.
We need to know that he was cared for. And that he was loved. And we want to EUGENE CARL RICE STANTON to know that he has always been in his mothers heart where they have never be apart.
Eugene was never adopted by my mothers husband. And there was no father listed on his birth certificate. My mothers name is now Doris Evelyn Raymond, she lives in lakewood Iowa. We welcome any contact. And questions.
