I am hoping to find information about my great grandmothers family, they were listed as follows on the 1881 census:
Dwelling 19 Suffolk P. St. Marylebone, London, Middlesex, England. Sarah Frost age 34, b. London, occu. hostler ( listed as head of family ), Charles Frost age 39 b. London, ( no occupation, but he was a painter ), Joseph Frost age 8 b. London, Ada Frost age 6, b. London, Ellen Frost ( my great grandmother ) age 4, b. London, Edward Frost age 2, b. London, George Frost age 1, b. London. The children attended Mr. Llewellyn Daires? school. Sarah Frost died in Marylebone 1883. Edward and George also died. Charles Frost could not find work, due to having rheumatism in his wrists, he earned money washing cabs. Ellen and Ada went into Annie Macphersons home in Coulsdon, in 1885, Ellen went to Canada in June 1885,Ada in July 1886, she died of diptheria in 1888. Ellen lived until 1960 and had 7 children. A letter from her brother Joseph Christopher Frost was received in 1886 or 87, he was listed as living at 95 North Street, Edgeware Road, London. I am hoping to find descendants of Joseph Christopher Frost, as I believe he stayed in England. Thanks for any help. Tami |
