| Birth mother-looking for my son. Only info so far-he was living either in Buckinghamshire, Northampton or Bedford at time his adoption went through.He was born St.Margarets Hosp,Epping,Essex.16th August1973.I stayed at Loretto Convent,Mother& Baby Home,Theydon bois, Epping.At birth he was named Barry Daniel Holden.He was taken for adoption at 6 weeks of age. Catholic Childrens Society & ST.Francis Childrens Society (now based in Milton Keynes) handled adoption.Updated info i have now, is that my son got married a short while ago, had a very good educational upbringing,has always known he was adopted, has an older brother. But i am still after two years going through adoption register in London to try to match dates, numbers etc in order to find his adoptive name,this is the one thing the childrens society cannot give me for legal reasons. Could someone please help in any way as it is so frustrating. I also appeared on the Kilroy show back in February about lost family,but nothing came of it. I would also love to get in touch with any of the girls who were also at the Mother & Baby home from May-September 1973. I have often wondered how they fared, as this can be a lonely experience looking for someone. |
