I am researching Simpsons of Aberdeen and have gone back a fair bit (1810). Other names from that line include Reid, Melvin, Robb, Soutar and Barbar. Most common first names for my Simpsons are James, Alexander, Robert, Agnes, Isabella, Mary and more. My GGF and GGGF worked the railroad between Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh in the late 1800's.
