| I am looking for information on a George Robertson McKinlay (birth name) born 10-3-1858, son of Janet McKinlay (no father listed). However, George's marriage certificate lists him as George Robertson marrying Eliza Stewart 9-6-1881. His parents are listed as William Robertson(Merchant seaman, deceased) and Janet McKinlay. I am trying to find the parents of Janet McKinlay and and William Robertson. Unfortunately, all these are very common names in Scotland, so am unable to distinguish who may be my ancestors. Any direction anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. |
