| My Mason family comes from in and around Ampleforth and the parish register runs back as far a 1600 with entries for one generation after another right up to 1890. There must be many others out there. I have spoken to a distant relative who still lives in Ampleforth and she said the Masons died out. All the men seemed to procreate girls. |
