I am looking for my natural father , Alec Leggett, who worked at the Bank of England Printing Works in the late 1950's. I was born Rosemary Lewis, May 24th 1955, in Whittington Hospital, Highgate, London.
My father was married, I was illegitmate, my mum's name was Sylvia Lewis. His wife knew about me as she was present when he went to pay maintenance at least one time, and my now-deceased grandmother said she had a baby about 6 months older than me at the time. this means my locating him would not be a total surprise for her.
I do not know if the baby was a boy or a girl, my nan thought it was a little girl but my aunt thinks it was a boy.
I know my father took part in a drama club production at the Bank of England, as I remember seeing a picture of him and the rest of the cast, when I was little.
Any help in contacting him would be much appreciated. The past 2 years have seen a wealth of health problems and I really need to know the medical history of his side of the family.
