| My family originate from the area of Dunfermline in Fife. They had an ironmongery in Bridge Street (48) in the middle late 19th century. My Great Grandfather was George Ireland born 1 Mar 1839 whose father was David Ireland. My Grandfather left Scotland after serving with the Scottish Rifles and married at the Isle of Wight. He was killed in 1915. I have the records of all from that time and photos, medals etc to present but would dearly like to know the previous. |
