| helo- I have been tryinng to trace my fathers ancestors.The christian name seems to be John. My great grandfather was John. He met my g grandmther at her farm and married her -it was near Portadown (parish of Milltown). He had been an itinerant farm labourer- traveling from farm to farm when he met my widowed g mother. So it's hard to trace his roots. I feel the forbe's orig came fro Aberdeen, but i've no proof of this , and it would have been many generations before this. My g grandfather's dates would have been around 1860 dob- because he was alive when I was young. would apprreciate any help |
