I am looking for information on the John Williams family that immigrated to the US in 1849 from Wales. Family members were: John(father), John(son), David, Sarah and Ann. Sarah married Daniel Griffith, a welchman she met on the ship and settled in Lancaster, Wisconsin. Ann married Evan Jones and settled in Big Rock, Illinois. David married Elizabeth Nightingale and settled 1st in Big Rock, Illinois; 2nd Prescott, Kansas. John (son) married Caroline Gates and settled in Marengo, Illinois. 2 sisters stayed behind, one married a Lloyd and the other a Davies/Davis. Isaac, another brother settled in Canada. There were 9 children that I am aware of, not sure what happened to the rest.
Not sure where they were from in Wales, would appreciate any and all leads. |
