| I would like to meet my family in the U.K. or at least learn more about them. They are Roman Catholic. The grandfather was born in Ireland about 1887 and immigrated to England as a young man to join the Royal Army. He served in World War I and World War II. He married a woman who was born in 1903 and they had ten children together. The six oldest girls were born about 1920, 1923, 1925, 1927, 1930, 1935 and the youngest, Elizabeth, was born in 1939. The boys were born about 1929, 1932 and 1937. As grown men, the boys each respectively became a railway signalman, a truck driver and a boiler fitter. One of the boys is Charles. The grandfather died in 1954 of a heart attack. |
