Investigating Muir family from Cambuslang in early 1800's. A John was born in Cambuslang in 1825, Alexander in Eastwood in Renfrew in 1827 and a George in Cathcart,Renfrew in 1835. Parents were George Muir and Mary Anderson. Should George senior have Papermaking as his occupation, he would be my gt.gt.gt.grandfather.
