hello I am looking for a lady named patti ann ford, maybe married now, i met her in ft lauderdale florida 1968/69, i was in the royal navy and serving on hms arethusa which made a visit to ft lauderdale. I was from liverpool and named bill irving (scouse) she came onboard with her sister. once she had finished looking around, she invited me to visit her folks, mum and dad at their home, I think they were from Birmingham England originally. Patti showed me around the whole of Ft lauderdale, I think at the time she worked in an ice cream parlour. When leaving we promised to keep in touch, which I did write but dont know whether the letters arrived or not.
there was a record at the time being played all on every station by edison lighthouse, love grows.
I know she wrote to me in 1974 to preston lancashire, as her mum was ill and they were at blackpool, unfortunately the letter came too late.
if anyone knows this lady, as I say she may be married now, I just want to say hello and see how her life has been for her, I still remember her and think about her even today.
if any friends know of her, they can get in touch on her behalf also.
