I am looking for any information on John Henry Thomas (b: ABT 1842) who was a Colliery Proprietor in Glamorgan County. I am pretty sure the name of the mine was Sguborwen in Aberdare. The family history passed down was that his mine flooded and three of his 5 sons went to the US. Gwilym (my great-grandfather) who became an Episcopal priest, a brother named Colwyn, and another whom I believe was named Henry. John Henry was married to Frances Elizabeth Evans (d/o John Mark Evans and Susan ?).
Any info on these families, people, or mine would be greatly appreciated. |
