| I am looking for information on a man and his wife who were born in County Antrim Ireland in the 1790's. James Hamilton was born there Apr. 25, 1793. His wife Frances, whose maiden name may have been Shelby, was born in that same county about 1796. Sometime between 1818 and 1826, the Hamiltons immigrated to the USA, living first in Kentucky and later in Missouri. James died in Callaway Co., Missouri in 1869, and Frances died in the same place in 1873. I am trying to find out who James Hamilton's parents were and would also like to find a marriage record for him in hopes it will help me learn what his wife's maiden name was.
